                 WWC126 - Fiona's Feminine Challenge

Have a good look at the new banner.   It is in black and white and still includes the namesake Watercooler.  It is really cool and refreshing.    Also take a look on the right margin for changes to the weekly challenges.
Fiona is the Hostess leading the way with her beautifully crafted Feminine card.   Check out the other Team Artists as well.    Again, they inspire us with their creations!
For my card, I have used Dragonfly Dreams.   I really  love the stamp set and dies.    I kept to the colors from the Spring Catalogue as it reflected a "Feminine" look for the challenge.   I embossed the sentiment in Gold on a band of Vellum and then mounted the vellum onto Detailed Floral Die cut.   This was then mounted onto the DSP "Falling in love".
Unfortunately there was a lot of glare bouncing off the gold embossing for a good picture view.
Closer View of Dragonfly
The top wings are vellum and then embossed with Iridescent Ice and then glued onto a golden wings of the dragonfly die cut..

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  Sahara Sand, Falling in Love dsp, Gold Foil paper, Vellum
Stamp Set:  Dragonfly Dreams
Thinlits Dies:  Detailed Dragonfly, Detailed Floral
Misc.:  Heat Gun, Versamark, Iridescent Ice E.P., Gold E. P.

Well, that's it for this week.  Happy Stamping and don't forget to check out the Design Team for their wonderful inspiration.  :)

  1. Wow, Heather! You've pulled out all the stops for this card, haven't you? What a beautiful, elegant, and exquisitely created feminine card! I love those pinks, whites, and greys combined with the touches of gold. The irridescent ice on the wings of the dragonfly really adds to the overall delicately feminine design. From the wonderful background designer paper to the die-cuts to the creative heat-embossing, this is a real keepsake. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

  3. Welcome back Heather and thanks for taking our challenge this week at the Watercooler. You've created such a beautiful soft and romantically feminine card with your elegant vellum winged dragonfly. Adding the floral die cut just adds to the whole look of femininity. Thanks so much for sharing!

  4. Gorgeous card Heather - I love the use of the vellum and the embossing - Thank you for joining in with my challenge at Watercooler Wednesday this week.

  5. Very beautiful! The dragonfly goes perfectly with the die-cut and those lovely, soft colours. Thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday.
