WATERCOOLER WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE WWC69

 WWC69 - Kath's Masculine CAS Challenge
http://watercoolerchallenges.blogspot.ca/

CAS is an acronym for "clean and simple".  Generally speaking that would mean keeping layers to a minimum, leaving a great deal of white space, and having a minimal amount of embellishing or none at all. White space does not have to be white.  It can be whatever colour the main layer of the card happens to be.  Is that as clear as mud?  Well, with Father's Day coming soon, we hope to inspire you with some terrific samples by the Watercooler Artists.

My card today is from an inspiration from my favorite site "Pinterest".  It is "clean and simple" and a manly card as well.  The picture under the feather's is from a recycled card front that I received.  Our Dad passed away a few years ago, and I thought he would love this card and the sentiment inside.

  1. Hi Heather, what a clever idea to cut your feathers from a landscape card. Upcycling is a great idea and gives one such a great variety of sources. The woodgrain background is perfect for those feathers and I love the simple layout. As always, having the inside of your card reflect the front is an additional bonus. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

  2. You're right Heather, Dad would have loved this card. The woodgrain background and the simple ribbon with feather embellishment at the base of the card works perfect with the CAS theme this week. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Heather, the feathers are gorgeous, using that background for the die cut. I absolutely love the colours; even though your card is very CAS, it seems so incredibly 'rich' with the colours, and texture of the embossing. So glad that you joined us for the Watercooler Wednesday challenge. ~Deborah
