WATERCOOLER CHALLENGES - WWC 34

WWC34--Jean's Colour Challenge

www.watercoolerchallenges.blogspot.ca

Welcome to my challenge.  This challenge is a Technique called "Ombre Effect".  I had never heard of this technique and decided to check it out on Pinterest.  There certainly were lots of beautifully crafted cards to see and be inspired by.  I thought I would go with a orange version.

Inside card:

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Tangelo Twist
Ink:  Watermelon Wonder, Tangelo Twist, Peach Parfait, Pumpkin
Pie
Stamp Set:  Four Feathers
Misc:  Filigree Frame E.F., Four Feathers Die, Ribbon, Orange Peel Stickles

The Orange Peel Stickles added some glitter and sparkle.  Not sure if this fits in with the Ombre Effect, but thought it made the colours pop out better.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and looking at my creations.

  1. Hi Heather, what a lovely example of the ombre technique. The added glitter does not take away from the ombre but, rather, enhances it. Of the Watercooler Artists, Jean chose to create her ombre effect using varying shades of paper rather than using ink. Your ombre follows her lead but your varying shades of paper are created with various inks. Beautiful work. Thanks for joining our Watercooler Wednesday challenge this week.

  3. Heather your card is simply beautiful. The feathers were such a great way of showing the graduation of the orange hues and adding such a great focal point to the card too. Thanks for sharing! Glad you're playing along.
