WWC35 - Marsha's "Anything Goes" Challenge

I was given this project by a friend early Spring. I have been recuperating from a hip replacement surgery and of course have had a lot of time on my hands. So............I thought lets give it a try.  First of all what kind of theme.  Because it is an advent calendar and for Christmas, why not snowmen?  I got this paper on the Clearance rack and thought it was so cute, so I start putting this together.  All the slots had to sanded and then put together and then lots of cutting of the paper and then the numbers, etc.  I finally finished this last week and thought immediately of posting it for the "Anything Goes Challenge".  After all what would we do without our calendars for little children and our bigger children.  Hee, Hee.!
Sorry, for the amount of photos, but it does break it down for you  to look at.

So as you can see,the snowmen make this Advent Calendar very unique and cute.   This was fun to do and a great project.
Thank you for visiting my blog and looking at my challenge.  Take care everyone, until next challenge.   Heather :)

WWC34--Jean's Colour Challenge

Welcome to my challenge.  This challenge is a Technique called "Ombre Effect".  I had never heard of this technique and decided to check it out on Pinterest.  There certainly were lots of beautifully crafted cards to see and be inspired by.  I thought I would go with a orange version.

Close up:

Inside card:

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Tangelo Twist
Ink:  Watermelon Wonder, Tangelo Twist, Peach Parfait, Pumpkin
Stamp Set:  Four Feathers
Misc:  Filigree Frame E.F., Four Feathers Die, Ribbon, Orange Peel Stickles

The Orange Peel Stickles added some glitter and sparkle.  Not sure if this fits in with the Ombre Effect, but thought it made the colours pop out better.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and looking at my creations.

Merry Monday #171 (Sentiment in the Spotlight)

Well, I immediately looked up all my Christmas stamp sentiments I could find and came up with this one.  I thought it would go well with the colors I chose and the silver glimmer paper.   The Sentiment would sparkle in the spotlight.

WWC 33 -- Bev's Photo Inspiration Challenge

What a gorgeous bedroom!   I love the clean look and the colors.   The colors I chose for my challenge were:  Blackberry Bliss and Whisper White.  I also used Silver Foil to add some pizazz for the Silver Chandelier.  The bullet lights on the ceiling are reflected in the sentiment banner with silver brads.

Merry Monday #170 (Use Holly)

I love the Holly theme. It does not grow here in the Okanagan, but down on the coast it sure does.  You can even find it growing wild.   My card for this challenge is Vintage style.  I used old DSP with Holly and also a beautiful little card with some children in a bi-plane "looking for Santa".  Check out the Holly on the wings.

A closer view of the Holly on the wing span.

Thank you for stopping by and looking at my creation.  I really appreciate it, and hopefully you will leave me a comment or two.
