Hi glad to be back.  I have finished my Christmas cards and they are gone.  Yeh!!!  I made over 50 Homemade cards (children and adult cards).  I thought I was cutting down this year!  Oh well, all my friends and relatives are worth it.  Especially when I get such nice comments from them.
I thought I would share some with you......

This looks so elegant and it was a fast card to make.  I used gold foil for one of the layers with Whisper White and embossed the poinsettia (Joyful Christmas) and also the sentiment from Warm Words with gold embossing powder.  Inside is the verse from Joyful Christmas.

My second card turned out beautiful and again it was an easy one to do.

Again I used Whisper White for the card stock, some retired DSP, and paper I picked up at a craft fair with stars on it.  It worked out perfect.
Die cuts were:  Petite Scallop Oval, MB Merry Christmas, MB Deer Trio, IO Birch Trees & Birds
It all came together quite well and is a perfect one for a man.

The next one is so beautiful.  I cased it on Splitcoast Gallery, and again it was a fairly easy card to make.
I used Whisper White again (my favorite) for the card base, last year's DSP, the new stamp set "Four Feathers and die cut.  Some silver ribbon, Silver embossing powder, and Glimmer Basics. The sentiment is from "More Merry Messages and I used the Bitty Banner Framelits.

Well, that is it for now.  Next time I will post some of the children's cards.  They are so neat.

Well, time is marching on.  Working hard on Christmas cards, so many ideas out there.

As you can see it turned out very nice.

Well this one was a real challenge.  I do not have a film punch, so I improvised and found a design for Christmas that looked liked holes.  Hee, Hee.  I loved the colors and especially the sentiment and bow.  Two very nice elements.  Yeh, for Christmas cards, they are always so cheery.

Here is another image with a lighter background.

Take care folks, and have a great day.  Heather :)

I have made another Screen Card folks.  This one is definitely a  feminine one, and I love the colors.  I used Soft Subtles and many accessories I had on stock.

The next image is standing up

Lots of fun to make!  Bye again.  Heather :)

This one is a double challenge:  Three colors and a design.  I had lots of fun with this one.  Found out I was down to a small piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock, but lots of ink.  So here is my inspiration....

I thought a lonely deer out there wandering through the trees and snow looked pretty good.
Cheers! Heather :)

All Hallows Day

Monday nights are a fun night for me.  I get together with four other ladies and we make cards.  It is informal and a way for my friends to get out and visit and just have fun.  Last Monday, I made these cards for the ladies to have for Halloween.  One of the ladies showed me a sample of the Screen Card and this is my version of it.....but for Halloween.

Each one is a little bit different.  I totally love the Screen Card.  It is so easy to make.
I made cupcakes and gave them each a card and also a Chocolate bar worth $1,000.000,000.00!!!!
Hee Hee  Too bad it is not real.   Anyway, good times, with my creative group.  Heather :)

Manly Card for Challenge #97

I thought this would be a good one for the Chalenge #97.  It is also a great one for a man.  We don't have enough of them.

Hope you like it!

It's All About Halloween

Well, the little Ghosts and Goblins will be out in three more days.  My card is all about Halloween.  The challenge was a design card and five colors and this card worked out perfectly.

The base of the card is Black and I embossed with Swiss Dots folder, but in this picture you have to look for it.  It is there, but hard to see.  Have a great Halloween Everyone.  Until next time.

World Card Day October 4, 2014

I am posting my card for World Card Day today and am really excited.  This is my first post in a long time, but also for such an exciting day!

I have used the new In Colors:  Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, and an old standby, Whisper White.  The sentiments were from "White Christmas" stamp set, Wonderful Wreath stamp set and framelits dies, "Honeycomb" embossing folder, Modern Label Punch, and a fancy scallop punch.  This is a card that could be used for Fall or Christmas, just change the sentiments.  Hope you like this and have a great day!

Well, Fall Season is almost upon us.  Where did the year go?  I am amazed that the last post I completed was February this year.  I am getting ready to go to a conference in Richmond for the Crown Jewels of Canada.  My chapter is in Vernon and we have 19 members.  We have Queens and Vice Queens and I happen to be the Queen.  It is lots of fun and we just have lunch's and then decide where we are going next month.  We meet every third Wednesday and a Hostess decides what restaurant we are going to or what fun thing we will do.  The only rules are to wear our colors (Red, White & Purple), a hat and to have FUN.
I have made a lot of cards this year; birthdays, Valentine's, Easter, and now about to start Halloween and Christmas cards.  I have 3 ladies who join me on Monday nights at 7pm and we yack and laugh and generally have fun creating cards.  We don't meet in the summer and last week was our first get together.  We learn new techniques and share new products in card making.
So between making cards, having fun with my group in Crown Jewels, gardening, and camping the time has flown by.  I also volunteer at our Vernon Red Cross office on Tuesday's.  Actually, when I look back on the year, that is where the time has gone.  LOL  :)
Hopefully within the next week or two, I can start sharing with you some techniques and cards.

Valentine's Day

Well, Valentine's Day has come and gone but I wanted to share some cards from my friends.  We meet on Monday nights and make cards for all occasions.

This is a Pop-up box card made by Betty Lee and it is what I call a "Wow" card.  It lays flat in the envelope and then when you open it and put the side flaps down the inside of the card with all the embellishments pop up.  It is a beautiful way to surprise someone.
Side of Box Card
This is the second card and it is from Phyllis.  It is very beautiful with lots of shine and glitter, which I love.
Inside of card from Phyllis
As you can see the cards are beautiful.   We had a sunny day in Vernon and I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from my husband, Ken.  That was such a wonderful surprise.  Also received a beautiful Valentine card from him.  We went to Rutland, (outside of Kelowna) to a Dinner and a dance at the Army and Navy Club.  We danced quite a bit to our favorite band "Art Taylor" and had lots of fun with our friends from Winfield,(Sonyia and Ed).  We left the dance around 11:00pm and then went back to Sonyia and Ed's for a night cap and some appetizer's.   Drove back to Vernon around 12:30am with a beautiful, bright full moon and a clear sky.
Have a lovely day everyone!  Catch you next time.......Will have some recent Birthday cards to show.   And of course tonight is Card Night and Betty Lee is going to show us how to make the Pop-Up Box Card.

Welcome to my Blog

Well, today is a new day for me.  I am attempting to set up a blog for myself and already I am trying to remain calm.  In the next few weeks I will be setting up a schedule for Card Making in my home.  This blog will show pictures of cards and sometimes projects that can be made with paper crafts.  I will also post the basic kit that you can bring with you to each card class.  It is so much fun to give a "Homemade" card or gift bag or tag to someone you care for.  I have several friends who will not throw them out, but keep them year to year.  I love making cards and I have to really 'Thank", my sister Penny, for being my mentor.  So have patience with me as I set this up.
